Today we’ve given the infamous drink a paleo twist while keeping all the richness and creaminess you remember from childhood, sans dairy and unnecessary sugars. It is totally adjustable to your flavor prefences and the adaptations are endless allowing you to be as traditional or eccentric as you desire. The best part, the base has only THREE ingredients and is done in less than 15 minutes. With such a simple method, you’ll find yourself saying “swiss who?“.

The paleo diet boasts its anti-inflammatory nature and health benefits, and this decadent cup stays up to par. Using real, high-quality dark chocolate gives it a high antioxidant content and coconut milk provides those good fats we can all use in our diet, without any additives.

Ingredients

1 can full fat coconut milk

1.5oz high-quality dark chocolate, chopped

¼ tsp vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins:

Peppermint Hot Chocolate – ¼ tsp peppermint extract

Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate – ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

Mexican Hot Chocolate – ¼ tsp cinnamon + pinch of cayenne and sea salt
